Waffle-y wedded

I don't know whether you saw this video when it came out last fall. It actually happened right here in my new home town of Bellingham. I would like to dedicate it to every couple that wants to live together with lots of laughter in their lives. I cannot watch it without laughing, no matter how many times I see it!

I'm thinking of Valentine's Day themes this coming week, with next Sunday being the Big Day. I hope you enjoy this video as much as I did.

  1. We got married in Reno at a beautiful wedding chapel. As we walked down the aisle my guy whispered to me that the justice of the peace looked like David Letterman. When we got in front of him he asked what hubby had said and he told him. Everything went smoothly until he pronounced us husband and wife he threw in a line about "the authority of the Home Office (Letterman fans will understand) and we both cracked up! I couldn't stop laughing after that. We still tell people we were married by David Letterman. Laughter is a big part of our lives.

    I loved the video.

  7. I've always put 'makes me laugh' at the top of the qualifications list. I'm kinda partial to Valentines Day... even though it ages me!

  8. Yes, I saw the video on Eva's Blog, but could see it a million times and still laugh! Everyone puts so much on your wedding day that it is just too stressful and none of the brides or grooms ever seem to actually enjoy their day. (I know I didn't... either one...)
So when you think about it.. getting the most dressed up you've ever got in your life and then saying those 'vows' in front of all the people you ever remotely knew, (Because a lot of your guests are your parent's guests anyway,) and most people NEVER speak in public? Of course you're going to flub it! It's funny! Thanks for posting it!

  9. I laughed: however,I think that bride's lack of decorum was an embarrassment! After all, they are in the house of God and it is not appropriate to behave like that in such a holy place. Only in America!

  10. I LOVED that wedding! My sister-in-law was the photographer for that day, so I got to second-shoot. They are an AMAZING couple and so full of joy. It was such an honor to be part of their day!
