More from Dale Chihuly |
I learned on Facebook that my stepdaughter Susan enjoyed the Chihuly Garden and Glass show so much when we went there last Monday that she went again the next evening, and got even more wonderful pictures to share on her Facebook page. That made me want to show you a few more of my pictures from last Monday.
With the hike on Thursday and the walk this morning, I am feeling right back into the swing of my routine. Not that I'm rigid or anything (smile), but I sure do like having a schedule. I've survived the holidays without gaining a pound, and that also makes me smile. Here's another Chihuly Glass picture to round out the post.

I could kick myself for not going to Chihully Glass Museum when there last summer so I especially enjoyed your pictures. Definitely a reason to return.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful glass! Rigid...really! You? Did anyone talk to the poor man that showed up for the hike...I have a feeling he is one interesting fellow:)
ReplyDeletei survived holidays but not without a few pounds latching on. :)
ReplyDeleteChihuly Glass is incredible isn't it? Love it.
ReplyDeleteI too love my routines, and need to develop some more active ones.
We have blissful rain here this morning and the garden and I are very, very glad. The cats less so.
almost back int he swing after the holiday as well...would be very cool to see that glass show....it is really cool.....
ReplyDeleteLove Chihuly glass and came across a magnificent chandelier of his in the V and A Museum in London. Will post a photo soon.
ReplyDeleteOoohhh....love that first photo! It's tempting to drive up I-5 to see this exhibit.
ReplyDeleteWe returned the grandchildren to their parents, took a day for us to tramp around San Francisco, came home to a jumbled house and yard that needed serious work. We have been doing laundry, vacuuming, grocery shopping, yard work, etc today to get the place back to some semblance of order. fortunately, I had put all the Christmas decorations away before the grandchildren came for their stay. Next week we return to the regularly scheduled program.
ReplyDeleteI never seen anything he makes I didn't like. These large collaborations often are assembled and taken down a number of times before it is right to leave. He has a large assemblage at the Joslyn Art Museum in Omaha , NE similar to the blue cluster.
ReplyDeleteWe are very un-routine today. After a lot of walking yesterday, we are resting today. In fact, I didn't even wake up this morning until after 9:00!
ReplyDeleteI've gathered in some groceries and ordered up pizza for this evening. Tom built a fire in the fireplace. Jill brought the kids over, borrowed my Seahawks hat and scarf, and has gone to Seahawks Stadium to meet up with her brother. They have tickets in the nose-bleed section.
Now it's 4:00 and getting very dark. We are all settled in doing out own things as we await the big game beginning in about an hour.
All those glass creations are incredible! Nice to have those groups to walk with.
ReplyDeleteSo you are once again comfortable in your own skin. A routine keeps us going in the right direction.
ReplyDeleteRoutines are great - as long as they don't trap me!
ReplyDeleteI like routine. I like my Weekend Routine far better than my Weekday Routine, but still . . . I like routine.
ReplyDeleteI am in awe of your not having gained a single pound, but then . . . we're talking about a woman who walks twenty miles at the drop of a hat . . . rather different from my capabilities...
I was thinking I might take a walk someday...but, it's not in my routine.
ReplyDeleteOh my! I can't wait to go there myself and see these amazing creations. Wow!
ReplyDeleteThat first image is stunning. You've captured it beautifully. Wouldn't it be a kick to own one of those!
ReplyDeleteThe exhibit is lovely. Thanks for the additional pictures.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad your world is right side up again. Cool that your step daughter had such a great time also.
ReplyDeleteI gained three but pretty sure I will lose them.
Just had our Christmas yesterday. :):) Leah sent cookies and baklava home with me...hummm... ;) Love the second pic where they look like huge flowers. Must have been like walking through a wonderland! :) Glad you are back on the comfort of your schedule. Have a super week!!
ReplyDeleteFantastic glass exhibits and I'm so glad you enjoyed your day with your step-daughter. I like a schedule too D-jan, especially now I'm retired. It makes sure that I know what day it is! Lol
ReplyDeleteFirst off, that hike to Lily Lake in your post below was such a delightful jaunt to go with y'all!!! Beautiful D J
ReplyDeleteAnd for this post, it's good to read that your trip with your step daughter was such a wonderful experience for her that she returned and wrote about it all on FB.
My routine these days is being able to get up and hack. rofl .... kidding.
