Almost missed my post

Today's Happy Wanderers

I almost forgot to write a post today. I got caught up in the news stories, first and foremost that Colorado has decided that Trump is disqualified from being on the ballot because of inciting an insurrection on January 6, 2021. Well, that caused me to forget what I was doing until I got ready for bed and realized I had forgotten the task at hand.

Fifteen of us met at the Senior Center and walked to Boulevard Park, around six miles there and back. It was supposed to rain but it didn't, so it was actually quite pleasant. Oh, and after the whole ballot thing, and then I saw on TV the incredible pictures of the volcano in Iceland erupting in spectacular fashion.

It's quite a tough time in the world right now, but I am glad I am around and can enjoy the show as it passes by. Wow!

:-}

  1. All praise to Colorado. The volcano in Iceland is incredible isn't it? I am glad that you got your walk in - and that it was pleasant - and in good company too.
    I am glad you didn't miss your post. I would have worried.

  2. Was very happy to hear about Colorado. Kept thinking--about time! How can he possibly be qualified? How can several of the people in congress right now be qualified for reelection, for that matter? I have not seen the volcano, though. Have to look for that. :)

  3. I'm surprised it was Colorado. I didn't realize they were actually a blue state. I kept thinking they were a red state. Good for them! It's a crazy time in our world right now with Israel and Gaza and Ukraine. And then the incredible eruption... I'm glad you got to get some exercise.

  7. I am in Colorado and we are definitely a Blue 🔵 State with too many Thing 45 devotees! Ugh!
    When the announcement was made on MSNBC, I took a picture of the TV screen and posted it on Facebook!
    The Republicans are all boo-hooing!

  13. Wow, you sure have had a lot going on here! I'm sorry I haven't been around DJan but I'm enjoying catching up here. I hope you, your friends, family & SG (oh wait he's family too) all have a very Hippy I mean Happy Christmas & New Years, and I need to check out this Iceland volcano, I never heard a thing. As for the Colorado news... what a great Christmas present. :^)

  14. I smiled when I saw that you almost forgot to make your Tuesday post. The reason I smiled is that I forgot to comment on Sunday’s Eye. Well, last Sunday morning we watched the morning news and heard about the fire, in Fairhaven, that destroyed the Old Independent Coffee House and Harris Avenue Café overnight. I did take a look and saw that you had posted early Sunday morning, but thought I would wait until later to see if perhaps you and John were unable to enjoy coffee in Fairhaven due to the fire … I wasn’t even sure if the place that burned was the place you have your Sunday morning coffee. Not seeing any update on Eye nor any mention of the fire on this post leads me to believe it wasn’t your coffee shop. At least I hope not. Maybe you will give us an update next Sunday on Eye. John
