Fun in the sun

Sunrise and geraniums
When I was out on the front porch at sunrise, I saw the sunlight giving my front porch flowers a pretty halo, so I grabbed my iPhone and snapped this picture. I love my iPhone camera, but just this morning I realized that in the years since I bought my new iPad, I hadn't taken ANY pictures with it.
Taken with iPad Air2
Since I knew I would be volunteering at WAHA all day today, I thought maybe I could forward this picture from my iPad into Google blogspot for a new post while I was working. But even though I had wifi connectivity, I could not figure out how to transfer a photo from my photos to blogspot. Therefore, I came all the way home during a break to write this. I'm fairly confident that somebody out there can tell me how I can get a picture from my iPad to my blog. When I'm on my laptop, I export the picture onto the desktop in a low resolution and do it that way (as I did above).

It's probably an easy fix, and when I have time I'll do some research on it, unless YOU know how to do it. Anybody?
:-)

  2. I don't know what you are using to create the post on your iPad, but the WordPress app on my phone knows how to dig a picture out of the Camera Roll and include it in a post. While typing a new post I just tapped on a mysterious looking icon and, Voila!

  3. Did you get the free BlogTouch app for Blogspot from the App Store or the pro one for $4.99? Both most likely have the facility to go in and "grab" photos from your photo stream or photos. BlogTouch free for Blogspot states you can edit your photos & use iPad & iPhone to create and edit your Blogspot blog. I have no personal experience but it may work well. Sonja

  6. There's always something new to learn with computers. It's usually pretty simple! I email pictures from my ipad , but that's not what you're asking.

  8. I don't have an iPad. while I do have an iPhone, I download phone camera photos to my desktop or laptop before Using them in Blogspot. So, I am of no help to you at all.

  11. I don't take many photos with my ipad, but when I do, I find it more difficult to transfer to the blog. I think the first step is to get it into photos on the ipad, then to go thru the same process you would with your phone. But I use wordpress, so the process may be different. Will have to look into this!

  12. I'm sure there is an app for blogger on your iPad...have you looked into that to see if there is an install?

Love geraniums. I have only ONE [red one] that does well in Spring, but ooooooooooooh the summers are brutal on them here.

  14. Don't have an iPad so I can't help you. You did remind me I need to put some geraniums in my hanging baskets. The hummers love them.

  17. I'm not a Mac person - but I would think that all of your photos back up to a cloud. You should be able to access those pictures from either device.

    Love your front porch!

  18. DJan, I take pics with my iPhone and then email them to myself. Then I do a "save as" from my email to get them to my Picassa photo album where I edit them for use on my blog. But there may be a way (probably an app) that will do this directly.

  19. I have an iPad and iPhone, but I've never tried to do this. I have my photos (from iPhone) go magically straight to my desktop PC and do my blog posts from there.

The iPhone 6 photos are really amazing, aren't they? We've been taking friends from Chicago around for the past couple of days and I took photos with the iPhone and my big Canon camera. I swear sometimes the iPhone took better photos. At other times they were about the same.

  20. Just in case you search for BlogTouch and iStore does not have it, search for it on google and the download will be there. I too downloaded it, but could not find it in the App Store. It is great. Lovely photos DJan, nice colour capture.

I really appreciate your comments! If you see a word verification box here, just ignore it. I don't use the darn thing and Blogger is trying to get us to use it, I guess. Ignore it and your comment will still appear.
