Spring green popping out on the trees |
It was a small group, and I was a little dismayed to notice that none of the slower walkers were there, meaning I'd be in the back and struggling to keep up. That's exactly what happened, but I was pleased that I was able to go the full six miles, even if I couldn't keep up the blistering pace of the ladies in front.
I cannot believe how fast the spring is busting out everywhere around here. Everything is either in bloom or greening up. Tomorrow is Palm Sunday and Easter is next week!
:-)
That new green is my favourite! We are about six weeks from it, Jan. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteWe won't be green for another six weeks here, maybe five if we are lucky:) I am glad you went on your walk! :)
ReplyDeleteSuper impressed at your six mile jaunt. And the year is rushing by isn't it? Easter tomorrow and ten minutes later it will be Christmas...
ReplyDeleteHopefully after this snow melts, spring will get a move on here too!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you need to divide the walkers into two groups. It would be better for all of you.
ReplyDeleteI love the new spring greens.
ReplyDeleteWe knew everything would start to pop, seemingly all at once, since it was late in happening this year. It is still not very warm yet, though. Sure would love to have a warm, sunny Easter Sunday.
You are way ahead of us in looking like spring. Central NY is still very brown. We actually had snow yesterday! Thanks for sharing the beautiful pic :-)
ReplyDeleteLooks beautiful regardless!
ReplyDeleteMaybe you should start a slower walkers group?
ReplyDeleteLooks so green there! :)
Rita may have a point. What a lovely place to walk. If you walk fast, you miss too much. So glad you put in the miles OK. You are getting there.
ReplyDeleteI've always been a slow walker unless pheasant hunting. Take time to smell the roses is the best pace...:)
ReplyDeleteI am glad the first signs of spring are showing in your town.
ReplyDeleteYou must be a little ahead of us; we're just getting daffodils and forsythia.
ReplyDeleteIt's always a beautiful time of year....when Easter arrives. That means flowers everywhere!!
ReplyDeleteNo matter how slow you walk/hike...it's the distance that counts.
The days really are speeding by. We've been on our trip to the Big Island and then I've been working on our trip album for mom. Now there's everything else that's been going on with my aunt in the hospital that I can't seem to get myself to focus and time keeps flying by me.
