I did it again

Kitchen window view
I did it again: I forgot about a post on Tuesday, and here it is Wednesday already, and somehow the time got away from me. Yesterday I came home from the gym and settled in my chair to start a new book, and I just forgot.

Now it's Wednesday morning, starting my new day, and figured I'd better slap something up here before I talk with my sister Norma Jean later on. She would be sure to mention the missing post, so here it is, my Tuesday blog post, just a little late.

Weather: it's always a good topic. Tomorrow, our hiking day, is forecast to be wet and mild, and then for the weekend we are getting hit with a blast of real winter, with our temps down in the teens overnight and not even above freezing during the day. Very unusual for us to be that cold, but it's nothing compared to what some places are experiencing. Brrr!

I had a very quiet and enjoyable Christmas holiday, and fortunately for me, I've got nowhere to go for New Year's Eve, just another quiet time, warm and toasty at home. I'll be back with my Thursday post for tomorrow.
:-)

  1. I like that view outside your window. Every season of looking out.....changes and sparkles with growth, sunshine and storms, eh. Its trying awfully hard to snow here this morning...we had freezing rain for the past two days and everything is a skating rink....no outing for me today. My New Year Eve sounds like yours, however, I shall add a movie to that and watching fireworks around the world. Cheers.

  4. I love cold weather. We live in Arizona in the winter to escape the rain, but we also miss the fun stuff. Oh, well!

  7. Love your view. New Year's Eve will be quiet here. And I will let the New Year come in without me...

  8. I think we are entitled to get the days wrong over the Christmas holiday. We are having a cold spell here at the moment. Tomorrow I will be driving back to London from Manchester which is about 250 miles. The forecast is freezing fog so I am not looking forward to it. A quiet New Year's Eve will suit me down to the ground. I shall raise a glass to you

  9. Aww, the holidays have us all discombobulated. You are in good company.
Love that snowy look out your window. We are so far snow free much to my dismay.

  11. Love the idea of a quiet New Year's Eve. It has been one of my least favorite holidays for many years. Hope it warms up a bit for you soon :-)

  12. Scheduled posts make you perform but it's a lot of stress. I post when I think I have something to say. I'm sure many would disagree with me.

  13. Okay, gloating here. It was 81 today in South Florida. Holidays make time and days blur together.

  14. I just checked out the forecast and it has changed since I last looked. Now possible snow on Saturday and then cold and clear - very cold for us. At least it will be sunny!

  16. Hoping for a good hike with great views for your Thursday! I just saw the sun for about five minutes that may be it for the day...it is grey and gloomy here....not too cold about 12F now and we may warm up to 23F!!! We will have a quiet eve here too:)

  17. LOL! You're still not back into your routine after being down in Florida. Hope you have a good hike with your friends. It's warmed up here. Been in the 20s the last couple days! Feels like spring--if you ignore the ice everywhere--LOL!

  18. We're not much on partying, DJan. So New Year's Eve means sitting by the fireplace with some home-made eggnog... and deciding if we're going to stay up long enough to watch the Ball come down! So.. "staying warm and toasty at home" sounds good to me.

I really appreciate your comments! If you see a word verification box here, just ignore it. I don't use the darn thing and Blogger is trying to get us to use it, I guess. Ignore it and your comment will still appear.
