Reflection of leaves on Lake Padden |
This morning dawned clear and cool, after several days of rain, interspersed with a little sunshine here and there. No rain today, though: it's simply gorgeous. Twenty-three women showed up to walk twice around Lake Padden. Some of them went off for coffee, but I headed over to the Farmers' Market to pick up some bread and headed home to get my laundry done.

Zack's art work this morning |
And earlier, when I got my usual latte, my barista created this smile, the first of the day for me. Now my laundry is drying and I'm feeling pretty good about the rest of this fine day. Hope you are having a wonderful day in your part of the world, too.
:-)
I can't think of a better way to celebrate the gorgeous weather.
ReplyDeletei love your sunshine smile and your beautiful lake reflection photo! i did almost all of my laundry early today, too. and painted a couple of gates that have been on my to-do for a while. groceries and hardware store will have to wait... now i'm enjoying a glass of wine.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful picture of the lake! It's a gorgeous day here too - but a bit windy & chilly. I suppose that's to be expected at this time of the year. I've accomplished absolutely nothing today with the exception of buying some mums to brighten my porch.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to have a good Saturday routine like this. You are very fortunate.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great smile too. Hard not to respond to that one!
ReplyDeleteYour photo looks like you still have plenty of autumn. Snow on the ground here but not much. However, I think we have more in the forecast next week.
ReplyDeleteLove your smile. And doubt it was the first you gave or received.
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful here today too. I am going to play in the garden. Enjoy your weekend.
Blue skies ahead!
ReplyDeleteLove the artful coffee - and that lake is just magnificent!
ReplyDeleteWasn't such a nice day here! Cold rainy and windy, with little white bits in the air! I won't say the word.
ReplyDeleteYou've got some great fall color to go with your walk.
ReplyDeleteYour barista is very talented. Love the little sun in your latte.
ReplyDeleteToday was such a beautiful day! We started it on the sidelines of Irene's soccer match. then i went grocery shopping. We got in a 3.2 mile walk before a late lunch. then we got our big tulip bulb order planted into gallon nursery cans, ready to pop into the ground when we did the dahlias out.
ReplyDeleteNice way to start your day! I saw some photos earlier of the Huskies Stadium and the view of Mt Rainier, so I figured the PNW must be bathed in clear skies and sunshine. :)
ReplyDeletesuch talent!!!
ReplyDeleteI've never tallied smiles. That makes me wonder. How many do we run across in a day? I'd definitely frown without caffeine.
ReplyDeleteYea, finally a dry day. I'd take up drinking coffee again just to see such a smiley face.
ReplyDelete23 ladies...that's a great number to show up. And on such a sunny wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteMmmmmm, bread!! That's a downfall for me. I could easily 'eat my weight' in bread. I haven't been to the farmer's market in a while. I'll have to remember to go sometime soon. Beautiful scenic photo too by the way, D J
What a spectacular photo of the lake! It looks like a mirror. Your barista is just amazing!
