I just called Linnie to see how she is feeling after her hard opening. She wouldn't have been able to skydive today, even if the weather had cooperated. She thinks she may have turned a corner and will be getting better every day from now on. She's able to go to work every day now, but she is probably done skydiving for the season. She makes these pretty little cards and sends them to her friends, so I suspect she'll be doing plenty of this kind of work for awhile, rather than jumping her buns off. I love the little airplane making its way above a very plump house.Well, the sky gods must be thinking of the Senior Trailblazers, because the only really good day we had last week was Thursday, and we've got rain and wind projected all the way until... Thursday. I know it's too early to know for sure (it's only Sunday, after all), but I'm hoping for another great day! Today is the Autumnal Equinox, which will happen here in the Pacific Northwest at 1:44pm. I hope you have a great day!

sounds like autumn is setting in in the NW. sorry your friend won't be jumping any more this year, but bless her in her recovery! i love her little 'plump' house - perfect word for it. :)
ReplyDeleteMy moon photos are never very good so although I looked at the Harvest Moon, I didn't take a photo. Now I'm looking at yours and wishing I'd tried.
ReplyDeleteThere must be something about those magical Thursdays. That's when we have our tai-chi lessons outdoors. We've never had a class cancelled in 2 years.
The northwest really do have the most glorious skies. You are so lucky!

ReplyDeleteWe woke up this morning to a low temperature of 69!! Now that is GREAT after such a long hot summer of inferno temps ranging from 90 to 100+ for months.

Baker and that is quite the view to be looking at from your yard. Lovely sunset and hope Linnie is feeling better and back to BSOS jumps with u n the gang. Nice card too :)

ReplyDeleteFrank and I watched that moon (a few nights after it was full) rise above the hills, directly across the lake. Geesh it was amazing but my photography could not do it justice. I need my tripod and that's packed away somewhere among a few dozen boxes. Lovely photos you managed though. I hope your friend recovers soon than she thinks.
