I can’t believe that many people still believe the virus is a hoax.
Apart from my driving back to Georgia to vote I have not done any traveling. I’ll drive back from Nashville to GA in mid-December to vote on the senate runoff. I don’t think Tennessee or Georgia will close their states – they are both run by republican governors, although, Georgia is starting to change.
This will be my first year, since I came to the US, that I will celebrate Thanksgiving alone. I bought some turkey drumsticks and thighs so I can still have a turkey dinner. We went grocery shopping about 9:00 Sunday morning and were surprised to see more people shopping than we usually find on a Sunday morning. I guess there were long lines at Costco. We haven't been to Costco since March. Our nearby Safeway is enough these days.
Yesterday we notified Tom's brother and SIL that we would not be joining them at the Widbey cabin for Thanksgiving. They are flying up from California. What would have been a party of nine is now down to two or three. We will be staying home, with perhaps son Jake joining us.
