Ive never had it this bad before, I wonder if winter nettles are worse than summer ones :-( I hope it's better when I awake tomorrow. Nettle soup is lovely by the way and nettle beer is great too. :-)Classic Volkshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15726458146806938290noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6050996142546962834.post-24495138266335223872013-07-31T14:21:41.936-07:002013-07-31T14:21:41.936-07:00I came in contact with some stinging nettles yeste...I came in contact with some stinging nettles yesterday and had an immediate burning sensation (and itch) that lasted most of yesterday. Today the rash and itch continue. I hope I will not be one of the unlucky ones who has to endure for a week. Any idea if sunbock on it is ok since I will be in the sun? I hope by now you're back to normal. So, it really helps prevent hair loss? If that were really true, don't you think that men everywhere would be lining up for a bit of the plant? I am very surprised that no-one on here has mentioned the country remedy, which is to rub the affected area with a Dock leaf immediately after the stings. You can look up Dock leaf on the Net and see what it looks like. I'm sure you must have these in America? When I was a Girl Guide, many years ago, this is one of the first things we learned about self preservation. Do try it and see.
Sorry you are suffering.
Blessings, StarStella Joneshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06699491230987143490noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6050996142546962834.post-8610247620831284102010-05-03T07:23:28.774-07:002010-05-03T07:23:28.774-07:00Rooties but goodies. Mud sounds like a great idea in a pinch or using tape. Anyone carry a first aid kit? I'd make sure that tape and peroxide are included on the next trip.

Also, fwiw, include a little bottle of pure essential oil of lavender and one of tea tree oil. My son ran into "something" when we stopped the car on our trip to Glacier Park. His leg started stinging like mad; I happen to have a small bottle of tea tree oil in my purse. I dabbed some on his leg and the stinging stopped. Lavender also has properties that supposedly dilutes a poison. I've used both after a meet up with a scorpion.Lynnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07393428886240353218noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6050996142546962834.post-47733686788204987912010-05-02T11:35:53.618-07:002010-05-02T11:35:53.618-07:00Go for the curtains!
