But we began getting 1" - 2" and 3" rainfalls that surely helped all the things from plants to animals that were thirsty this summer. My new 3 year old cherry tree had blooms early but then it got dry and I never saw a cherry. And as a kid, those leaves turned brown and fell off the vine. Kids, like me, with a home made corn cob pipe would gather these fallen leaves and crush them up and stuff them in the hollowed-out corncob pip bowl and smoke them like tobacco. Thanks for the post.
